Good Energy & Positive Vibes at Sultana's Agora
Kick off the dog days of summer with good energy and positive vibes at Sultana’s Agora, a pop-up marketplace happening inside J. Landa jewelry store in Rice Village on Wednesday and Thursday, June 13 and 14.
Alexandra Kaldis Brummett and Jay Landa wearing Positive Healing Vibes caftans and silk scarves.
Alexandra Kaldis Brummett, owner of Houston-based online boutique Sultana’s Daughter, will bring her treasures to J. Landa for a two-day agora, or market, featuring items oozing good energy and spirituality like hand-made evil eye pouches, Palo Santo (bundles of “holy wood” used to ward off bad energy), bundles of copal (a functional incense traditionally used to keep mosquitos away), woven baskets, crystal skulls and their exclusive brand Positive Healing Vibes – a collection of hand-painted caftans, silk scarves, bandanas and cozy floor pillows. Alexandra and husband/artist James Brummett launched their Positive Healing Vibes brand only a few weeks into their marriage when Alexandra was diagnosed with breast cancer. The collection is focused on healing energy, positivity and vitality. The duo will be premiering their newest Positive Healing Vibes caftan silhouette –made of easy-to-wear cotton, perfect for Houston’s hot summer days.
And we'll have a fabulous curated selection of colorful, chic “bikini jewelry,” as we like to call it, perfect for summer vacations and pool days.
Sultana’s Agora pop-up will be the launch of J. Landa’s summer “designer lab,” a concept central to the culture of Jay Landa’s boutique – Landa hopes for his store to be a vehicle for up-and-coming brands and artists to display and promote their hand-crafted goods. Sultana’s Agora will be running from Wednesday, June 13 (10-7 pm), to Thursday, June 14 (10-6 pm).
Helen Greek Food and Wine will provide light bites during the evening of Wednesday, June 13, from 5 to 7 pm, and champagne will be flowing!
