Rodeo Kick-Off: The Mode Less Travelled Handbags Pop-Up
We can't wait for this one, y'all! We're kicking off rodeo season (and celebrating Valentine's Day) with a pop-up on Tuesday, February 13, featuring leather accessory designer The Mode Less Travelled from Austin, Texas.
The Mode Less Travelled produces uncommonly original handcrafted leather accessories for the wild at heart, including cross-body bags, clutches and key chains. Owner/designer Murray (Max) Altman-Kaough’s designs are inspired by the beauty of the southwest as well as the textiles and patterns of the indigenous cultures worldwide – a perfect compliment Jay's curated selection of global jewelry finds. The Mode Less Travelled has developed a signature, chic take on the traditional colorful Mexican Otomi embroidery, featuring hand-painted designs on leather and fabric accessories, oftentimes incorporating whimsical, metallic touches.
Altman-Kaough will design exclusive pieces for the J. Landa customers, pulling inspiration from Rodeo season, Valentine’s Day and a few of Jay's favorite motifs, including snakes, sugar skulls, sacred hearts and more. Ranging from $35-$150, these leather accessories are fabulous, affordable year-round pieces for the Texas-chic woman. The pop-up will take place from 10am-6pm.
